Our parish family
St. James the Greater was built by German farmers and Mexican ranch hands out of the white stone under their own fields. The walls are two feet thick, the bell came from Bremen, and the Sunday Masses have been in two languages for longer than anyone can remember.
Learn more about our parishWelcome to the road. Park under the oaks, come in by the side door if you are late, and sit anywhere — the Spanish Mass is as full of English speakers as the English Mass is of Spanish ones. Stop by the office afterwards and we will get you a shell.
